· Take a mechanic along with you and get his comments.
· Check for the numbers of owners. If you are the second owner, then it is good. Each owner has his/her own pattern of driving and hence,
car condition will worse, if it was many owners.
· Check for the Kilometers that the car has run. They may have faked it.
· If the Insurance has time, you can change it to your name.
· Check the car’s history. For example, if you are buying Honda city, you can check it’s service history in the Mount road’s Honda city show room.
With this you can know, whether the car has met accidents or had any other major problem.
· Take the car to garage and check the under chassis for it’s condition.
· Check the gear box, steering box and radiator for leakage. You can check for it under the car’s engine portion after stopping it.
· Check out for tyres . Each may cost around 5000 Rs. Bargain for the price accordingly.
· Check for the metal status. If you find dead spots , then you have to spend fixing it in future.
· Check for the spare wheel’s status.
· Check for the accessories.
· If the car has seat covers, remove them and check the original seat conditions.
· Check the engine sound especially for diesel engine. Too much sound not worth to buy.
· Check the accelerator, clutch and brake conditions/smoothness. If they are hard, you need to change them in future. They are costly
for high end cars.
